Shooting at Bubbles: Goofing off without any guilt

Steven, I'm a huge Civ fan, always have been as I've played and enjoyed every single version and I've got my kids hooked on the game too (shhh, don't tell them that they're picking up tidbits of history and social sciences while they're at it :) )

I wrote a history paper based on things I learned from that game. No joke. Got a 98% on it too =)

Thanks a bunch, Steven! I no more than talked myself out of posting today just to read:

"the idea of not posting at least one article can sometimes bring pangs of guilt"

I'd better not lose sleep over this blurb, buddy! lol I need at least 18 naps/day or I'm a wreck!

With my nap schedule, I have no time to waste. So there! :)

I couldn't agree with you more about the state of FPS games. I can't tell you how many crappy days I survived by taking a break from work and jumping into a mindless FPS like "Serious Sam." These days, though, it's too much like work trying to play one.

RSS feeds: I usually have about 100+ unread
Games: usually have an xbox/nintendo ds/pc game on the go
Books: usually have 1-2 library books sitting around the house
Movies/TVs: my fiancé is a big time movie buff, so this is always an option

I posted a response on my blog but the gist is: do something that takes you out of the routine. And I guess I pass along a video game for you to try: http://www.imitationpickles.org/galcon/index.html
