    Obviously, if someone needs to remove their account from Twitter based on the fact that they are spending too much time on it, then I think there is more of a problem with the person than with Twitter itself. As you said Steve, Twitter is a stream that we can dip our feet into when we feel like it and at the click of a button, move away from the river. Sounds like Hugh was having a tough time moderating himself.

    Yep,it's a tool - and there are a myriad of ways to use these tools, many of them untapped. There's too much of a focus ont he Internet on using a tool because it's the "next big thing," and not because it's actually useful.

    yep I hear ya. It's just a means of communication - if you want to hear what he's up to there's email, blog, phone, etc. It's not like he's moving to Antarctica or anything.
