    My guess is that this has less to do with Amazon than with the restrictive Canadian telcos.

    Exactly. Look at how long they took to get the iPhone in Canada.

    Oh I don't put all the blame on Amazon here. As with the iPhone I can well imagine that the telco's are more than responsible for this.
