I have a feature request for the folks at feed demon myself. In firefox, I use an extension that automatically fills out the NAME, URL and EMAIL fields on commenting sections on blogs. I wish I could have that type of functionality inside of FeedDemon so that I wouldn't have to browse the post in FeedDemon into FireFox to easily make a comment.

If that was added, I'd be writing comments on all sorts of blog posts I read in FeedDemon.

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

It's in NewGator online already ... But Nick you already know this ;).

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

I do this as well. I have my FD shared items pumped through FeedBurner. Here is the feed if you're interested:
http://feeds.feedburner.com...

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

I haunt his tips for FeedDemon :)

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

That would be nice! But did you know you can integrate tweetscan (http://nick.typepad.com/blo... and FriendFeed search (http://nick.typepad.com/blo... into FeedDemon? That's pretty cool.

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

FeedDemon won't hook into your Google Reader Shared Items but you can create
the equivilent idea much like I have with my Shared Links (on the blog - My
Link Blog) which is then run through Feedburner so I can see some stats on
its usage.

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

I always wondered if FeedDemon ever tied into Google Reader as far as the Shared Items features though. I really love this feature in Google Reader. Is it also integrated into FeedDemon? If not, is there a way to get such a coupling?

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

well if you ever decide to stop running and do something like this I offr
myself up as a beta tester right here and right now :)

this would be so right on so many levels .....

Re: Making FeedDemon the killer blogger app

I wouldn't say I'm running screaming into the sunset - more like a slow jog :)

I've actually considered doing exactly what you describe, but my desire to keep FeedDemon focused on a specific task (ie: reading feeds) makes me shy away from it. That's the same reason why I never added NNTP, even though some competitors offer it.

That said, I still like the idea of making FeedDemon more "sociable," kind of like Flock with an RSS focus.
